Washer Repair Westminster

Gas and Electric Dryer Repair

We repair standard, front-load, and stackable dryers, gas and electric. We test each part instead of guessing, so you only pay for the repair you need.

Electric Dryer Repair

Most heating problems come from the heating element, the thermal fuse, a thermostat, or a power supply issue at the outlet or breaker.

Gas Dryer Repair

When a gas dryer tumbles but stays cold, the igniter, gas valve coils, or flame sensor is usually the reason. We confirm it heats properly before we leave.

Front-Load and Stackable Dryers

We repair standard, front-load, and stackable dryer models from all major brands.

Dryer Brands We Repair

Whirlpool, LG, Samsung, GE, Maytag, Frigidaire, Electrolux, Kenmore, Amana, KitchenAid, and other major brands.

Common Dryer Problems We Fix

These are the dryer problems we repair most often. Select a problem to read our guide.

Dryer Vent Cleaning and Airflow Repair

A clogged dryer vent is the number one cause of the problems above. When hot, moist air can’t escape, the dryer runs longer, overheats, and eventually blows the thermal fuse. Replacing the fuse alone doesn’t fix it: the new one fails again until the airflow is restored.

We clean and repair the complete vent system:

  • The transition hose and connection behind the dryer
  • The full vent run inside the wall, out to the exterior exhaust
  • Roof vents and exterior vent caps
  • Replacement of crushed, kinked, or plastic vent hose with metal duct

Signs your vent needs attention:

  • Clothes still damp after a full cycle
  • The dryer or laundry room feels unusually hot
  • A burning or hot smell while the dryer runs
  • Weak airflow at the outside vent
  • LG airflow error codes such as D80, D90, or D95

Lint is highly flammable. If you see these signs, have the vent checked before the next load.

Dryer Brands We Repair

We repair Whirlpool, LG, Samsung, GE, Maytag, Frigidaire, Electrolux, Kenmore, Amana, KitchenAid, and other major brands.

  • Whirlpool and Maytag. Long drying times are usually airflow. A dryer that won’t start often has a blown thermal fuse or a bad door switch. A rhythmic thump usually means worn drum rollers.
  • LG. D80, D90, and D95 are airflow warnings that mean the vent is restricted. The tE code points to the temperature sensor, and dE points to the door switch.
  • Samsung. Many error codes relate to airflow or temperature. Before calling, clean the lint filter, check the breaker, and make sure Child Lock is off.
  • GE. A timer that won’t advance on Auto Dry is often caused by a heating problem or the moisture sensor, not the timer itself.
  • Frigidaire and Electrolux. No heat? Make sure the cycle isn’t set to an air-only setting. A burning smell means stop the dryer and have the vent checked.
  • Kenmore. Many Kenmore dryers are built by Whirlpool or LG, so we repair them with the same parts and methods.

Where to find your model number: open the dryer door and look around the door frame or the drum opening. On some models the label is on the back panel near the exhaust vent. Having it ready when you call helps us bring the right parts.

LG dryer with a tE error (Sherrelwood). The dryer stopped heating properly. The temperature sensor (thermistor) had failed. We replaced it and heating was consistent again.

GE dryer timer stuck (Sherrelwood). The timer stayed in the same position through the whole cycle. The timer motor had failed. We replaced the timer assembly and the cycles advanced normally.

Whirlpool dryer taking multiple cycles (Thornton). Clothes stayed damp after normal cycles. The exterior vent was severely restricted. After a full vent cleaning, drying performance improved immediately.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you repair both gas and electric dryers?

Yes. We repair gas and electric dryers from all major brands, including standard, front-load, and stackable models.

What dryer brands do you repair?

Whirlpool, LG, Samsung, GE, Maytag, Frigidaire, Electrolux, Kenmore, Amana, KitchenAid, and others. If your brand isn’t listed, call us and ask.

Do you clean dryer vents?

Yes. We clean the complete vent system, from the hose behind the dryer through the full vent run to the exterior or roof vent, and we replace damaged or plastic vent hose with metal duct.

Can a clogged vent cause my dryer to stop heating?

Yes. Restricted airflow makes the dryer overheat, which blows the thermal fuse or trips a safety thermostat. Restoring airflow is part of the fix.

Can lint buildup cause a dryer fire?

Yes. Lint is highly flammable. Excess lint inside the vent or the dryer cabinet, combined with overheating, can create a fire hazard. Cleaning the lint screen alone doesn’t remove it.

How often should a dryer vent be cleaned?

It depends on how much laundry you do and how long the vent run is. Many homes need a cleaning about once a year, which is also what fire safety officials recommend to prevent dryer fires. Clean it sooner if drying times get longer or the dryer feels unusually hot.

What does the D80 error mean on an LG dryer?

D80, D90, and D95 are airflow warnings. They mean the exhaust vent is restricted. Cleaning the lint filter and the vent usually clears them.

Why is my GE dryer timer not advancing?

Common causes include a failed timer motor, a heating problem, or the moisture sensor. On many GE dryers, the timer depends on proper heating during Auto Dry, so a diagnosis comes before replacing parts.

How much does dryer repair cost?

It depends on the dryer, the problem, and the parts needed. We diagnose first and give you the price before any work begins.

Is it worth repairing my dryer?

Many dryers are worth repairing, especially when the rest of the appliance is in good condition. We’ll explain your options so you can decide.

Do you use quality replacement parts?

Yes. We use quality parts that match your dryer model.

How long does a dryer repair take?

Many repairs are completed in a single visit. Some parts need to be ordered, which adds a second visit.

What areas do you serve?

Westminster, Arvada, Thornton, Broomfield, Northglenn, Sherrelwood, Federal Heights, Berkley, Superior, and nearby communities.

How do I schedule a dryer repair?
